Reliance Communications sells fibre assets to Reliance Jio for INR3,000cr. Reliance Communications sold its infrastructure assets worth INR2,000cr last week to Reliance Jio as a part of pact signed last year to sell its assets to Reliance Jio to reduce its debt.

 

Reliance Jio becomes second largest telecom company by revenue market share. Reliance Jio overtook Vodafone as the second largest telco ahead of Bharti Airtel, on the back of strong performance in the rural mobile markets and aggressive pricing.

 

Oil prices drop on the back of US-China trade dispute; Looming Iran sanctions expected to cut supply. US will target Iran’s oil exports with sanctions from November, as currently Iran supplies 2.5 million barrels/day, the number is expected to fall by atleast 1 million barrels/day.

 

Warren Buffet-led Berkshire Hathaway in talks in invest in Paytm’s parent company, One97 Communications. Berkshire Hathaway is looking to invest around $285.4-356.7bn as it looks to buy 3-4% stake in One97 Communications.
