Sensex on Monday rose to an all-time high of 38,837. NIFTY crossed the 11,700 mark on the same day. The jump was perhaps fueled by the hopes of a rate cut by RBI later in the week and upcoming General Elections. Saudi Aramco and The Way the Kingdom Does Business
Saudi Aramco for the first time revealed its financials, emerging as the world’s most profitable company. A report from Fitch awarded the company an A+ rating, also revealing that the company has a net EBITDA of $224bn, which is head and shoulders above than that of Apple which sits second with $82bn. With an expected IPO in 2021 one can expect more details on the company in the coming months. In this week's episode, we discuss the giant.
IPO Season in the US: Lyft, Pinterest, Uber, Levis
Ride hailing company Lyft launched its IPO on March 28th listing at a price $72 on its opening day. Lyft's IPO is one of the four major IPOs in 2019, which includes Levi’s, Uber and Pinterest. Interesting to note is the fact that Lyft crashed below its offering price on its second day of trading, on the back of lingering questions about how the loss making ride-hailing giant will become profitable.
